No wonder it sold for that amount!  It was the only Corvair with a "solid
rear axle."

Looks like RM auctions did a number for us 69 owners.

their website, under astor collection auction results, it appears they sold
#5214 for $18.7k over June 27 - 29

not too shabby for a green 500 survivor
