69 Members,

During the past six months our 69 Group has faced many challenges.  We lost the backbone and cornerstone of the organization in Mark Ellis.  Who can never be replaced for his knowledge of the 69 Corvair and efford he put forth.  Now it is time to move forward and reorganize for the upcoming 40th 69 Reunion scheduled for the Jacksonville Convention.

First we need to replenish the Groups bank account by renewing our membership.  I would like to announce, Ed Thompson has volunteered to become the new Treasurer and will be excepting our dues.  The membership dues rate is $10.00 per year and please mail to Ed Thompson, 2523 E. Armour Ave., Saint Francis, Wisconsin 53235.  More than the dues rate will be greatly appreciated.

Next we have a new Newsletter Editor, Ken Amick will assume the duties of publishing the 69er quarterly.  He will need your help with articles about your 69 or related stories.  Send information to, Ken Amick, 3406 Congress Ct., Jeffersonville, Indiana, 47130.

To report new found 69 VIN numbers reply to Eve Ellis who will be keeping the records we have of the 69 Corvairs.  Phone Eve at 804-746-7245.

My thanks to Vice-President Sarah Beltrami, Treasurer, Ed Thompson, Newsletter Editor, Ken Amick and Records, Eve Ellis for their help in keeping the 69 Group together and looking to the future.  We have a task ahead of us but with your help we can bring back the Group and move forward.  More information will be coming as we near our Reunion in July.  Thanks.
