[1969] Powerglide/Rear Axle

The seal separating the PG and rear axle has failed and allowed the AT fluid
and axle lube to mix on my 69 110 AT Monza. I haven't driven the car since I
discovered this problem but I'm sure that some contamination had already
happened before I realized it and stopped driving. My question is whether
both units can just be flushed and refilled with appropriate fluids after
replacing the seals or should I just assume damage has already occurred and
rebuild the AT and differential unit while I have them out of the car? There
is less than 100K on the car and the powertrain has never been out of the
car to date.
