[1969] 1969 engine code question

I've been making some progress with minor repairs on the 69 Monza coupe 
I bought this summer. Looking in the Corvair Junkyard Primer I located 
the engine code and saw it was a RW which the books ID as 66-68 with AIR 
and PG. Figured it was replaced. Got Helt's Classic Corvair this weekend 
and found out that 68-69 also have a partial VIN stamped into the case. 
Looked this AM and it does show my partial VIN.
