Mark, what you're describing looks like the same one used on most 1968 Chevys such as Impalas and Chevelles.? The same pattern was used for rhe light switch.? Thus you would have a handle that you could grab when you had to dig it out of the center stack padding hole. Clark's listing for a '67-9 lighter is actually a '67 one year only design. They have nothing that even resembles the correct blade lighter.
My '69 had one, and I've seen others with the part. But as the one guy points out. sometimes the factory violated the engineer's specs just to get the car out the door.
