LINCOLNTON - Cecil Audrey Flowers Jr., age 85, of Tin Mine Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, March 22, 2020.
 
A private graveside service will be held for the family.
 
Mr. Flowers was born September 21, 1934 in Mecklenburg County to the late Cecil Audrey Flowers Sr. and Velma Bynum Flowers. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Doris Shuford Flowers. Cecil was the owner/operator of Cecil’s Slaw for over 40 years. Cecil loved gardening, was an avid collector of Corvair’s, attended the Auto Fair for years, and spending time with his family at the lake.
 
He is survived by a son, Eddie Flowers and wife Janet of Lincolnton; a daughter, Jenny Gunter and husband Scott of Lincolnton; and five grandchildren, Tyler Lawing, Taylor Lawing, Andrew Flowers, Austin Flowers, and Ashlyn Flowers.
 
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2582 Gastonia Highway, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
 
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Flowers family.
