Hello Everyone,

We hope you all had a great holiday and are all safe, happy and staying dry!

A few notes as we wrap up 2021 and head into 2022...

   - 2022 is going to mark the 60th anniversary of the 1962 Corvair and is
also going to mark the 60th anniversary of the first convertibles and the
first production of the turbocharged Corvair Spyder.

   - For us, 2022 is the 50th anniversary of SFBA CORSA! Not too many car
clubs last this long, so this is quite an accomplishment. A big Thank You
to Dave Newell and Tony Richards for founding the club and a big Thank You
to everyone reading this who kept the club going all of these years from
the officers to the editors to dues paying members. You have all had a hand
   in our success and longevity.

   - To celebrate this occasion, we have been working with Scott Howey at
Flat Six Graphics on a few designs. Right now, the plan is going to make a
50th anniversary T-Shirt and a 50th anniversary club decal. *All dues
paying members for 2022 will receive a 50th anniversary decal in the mail
or at an in person event*. T-shirts and decals will be available for
sale soon. These will be available for 2022 only, so stay tuned on where to
get yours! (Almost finished prototypes of the designs are attached to this
   email)

   - Clark will have information on this in the Jan newsletter and we will
   give updates as they come.

   - The Jan in person Meetup will be at Donut Time Sun, Jan 9th from
8-11am in El Cerrito. Details are on the club calendar
   https://www.sfbacorsa.org

There is a lot of interest in the in person meetups, but we need YOUR help
in finding locations to meet. If you have a location and would like to host
an in person meeting, drop us a line. (Sunday seems to be the most popular
day)

Putting on the CORSA hat for a moment, you may have heard that the CPF
(Corvair Preservation Foundation) lost its lease on its current location on
Rte 66 in Glenarm, Il. Currently, all museum inventory is being moved to a
temporary storage while the next steps are being sorted out. All options
are being explored, but a permanent location that CPF owns is highly
desirable. If you feel that having a Corvair museum is important for the
history, advocacy and future of the Chevrolet Corvair and you can afford to
do so, please consider donating to CPF.

Ok, that's it for now! Happy Early New Year everyone! Hope to see you at
the next zoom on Jan 6th at 7pm!
