<CORSA Chapters> Vairs At The Vault Update

Hi Everyone,

We hope that you all are enjoying the summer weather and getting out in
those Corvairs!

Speaking of which... our next event, the 2nd annual Vairs at the Vault is
fast approaching. Sept 9th! Thanks to all who have RSVP'd. We hope that if
you are reading this and have not RSVP'd yet that you will do so soon. It's
a really fun time and your presence makes it so. So come on out!

On that note, I work out in Napa near the vault and HWY 12 where the event
is at has some serious roadwork going on. We were hoping that it would be
finished by the event, but it doesn't appear that will be in the cards this
year.

So, here are the details of how to detour to the Vault...

*Entering Napa from the South side (HWY 12 or HWY 29)*

   - *If you are coming up from 29 in Vallejo*, make a Left on Airport Rd
   at the 12/29 intersection. Stay in the right lane and make a right on
   Devlin Rd. You will take Devlin Rd all the way out until you get to Soscol
   Ferry Rd. Make a left at Soscol Ferry Rd and you will see the Vault to your
   left.
   - *If you take I80 to HWY 12,* these are the same directions as above.
   The only difference is that you will continue straight through at the HWY
   12 / 29 intersection light and make a right turn on Devlin Rd.


*If you are coming down through wine country*, you will want to make a left
on Napa Valley Corporate Way just past the college. Then, you'll make
another left at Napa Valley Corporate Dr. This will loop you around to
Soscol Ferry Rd and the Vault will be to your right.

I have attached maps from both directions to give you a visual of this.

Also, Bruce has generously offered a Magnum of Far Niente Cabernet for the
person who drives the longest distance in their Corvair! So, you road
warriors who appreciate a fine wine, here's your challenge and your reward!

I work in this area, so prior to the event, I will make every attempt to
put up direction sign markers to help you navigate to the event.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle, raffle prizes, food, wine, Corvairs and,
hopefully... YOU!
