For all Corvair owners around the Washington DC metro area, the Rockville
show is one of the best shows in the area.  Group Corvair is one of the
sponsoring clubs and we have a claim to an excellent place on the show
field.  But we could use more Corvairs!  The show is limited to about 530
cars and as Amanda notes below, there are only 45 spaces remaining.  If you
want to show your car, you HAVE TO PREREGISTER!!!

In case you have never heard of or attended the Rockville Antique and
Classic Car show, it's limited to antique and classics.  In other words, no
hotrods, trick trucks, kit cars, or other "wild"modifications etc., and at
least 25 years old.  Cars need to be good representatives of the make and
era.  We normally have everything from Stanley Steamers to race
pedigree Ferraris show up.  The venue is great -- a large grassy valley on
the former Glenview Mansion, now the Rockville Civic Center.  While there
is a nominal entry fee for cars, visitors are free and the city estimates
something over 12,000 people attend.

Good morning,

I wanted to share a quick update with the Committee regarding registration
for this year’s show. As of this morning, we have *45 spaces remaining*.

If you or someone from your club is planning to bring a vehicle, I highly
recommend registering as soon as possible to secure a spot. Registration
will close on *Friday, October 3 at 5 p.m.*, or earlier if we reach
capacity.

   if possible—mailed paper forms may not arrive in time.
   - If you have yet to register your vehicle as a committee member, please

I’ll be following up next week with details about field sign-ups for
Committee members.
