CORSA 2012: Convention Car

Hello all,

Note that you need to cut and paste both lines of web address,
though for some reason only the top one will run if you click on the
link, and tell you its a pulled auction.

I saw this car in September at the VW clubs 'All Air Cooled
Gathering'. It was a decent car, and I showed the owner how to adjust
the fan belt, which was way too loose. The lack of a title bothers me.
It is also not a vehicle that will stand out in a crowd, which may be
bad for a raffle car. Are we going to try and raffle a restored car? A
decent driver? If we are going to restore a car, then I'd opt for
something else.

As to my thoughts for a convention raffle car, maybe we should
approach it as WHAT type of car we want (early, late, FC, open,
closed?) and then search for the right car. There are 11 body styles
to choose from, though personally, I'd rule out the Loadside and the
Corvan from the start.

Best regards,
Tim Schwartz

Any thoughts on this as a convention raffle car?
