Hi Al, Brian, and Everyone on this email list.

Happy Holidays to all.

Just wanted to respond to Al's earlier notes on the meeting at Sturbridge on November 19 with some clarification and some thoughts for planning.

1. Regarding the DJ for the Car Display on July 28th - Bruce will only be working the Car Display on the 28th (not the entire week) - as I mentioned at the meeting, there will be no broadcast (cost prohibitive) he will simply be playing music, making announcements, getting people pumped up etc, as the Bay State club can tell you - he is a great host for a Car Show. For the estimated 5 hour show 10 AM to 3 PM His fee will be $475. Extremely reasonable. I am sure he will also post the event on his web site and may even give us a few free plugs on FM 100.

2. We need to coordinate the events that require PA system use. Larry C. came up with this list which I think is complete.
Tech sessions
Concours
Corsa/cpf general meeting
Banquet
I am fine with bringing the PA for our use. I would like to ask for a couple of volunteers willing to learn how to move, set up, and use the PA (very easy, about 10 minutes of training). This will free me up for other things if needed and maybe give me a little time to enjoy some of the convention. Also, I will add "Clam Bake" to the above list.

3. Regarding the subject of publicity and press releases - As I mentioned I have contacted some local TV stations and CT Public radio. I think each of the clubs involved in the convention should plan on contacting their local Newspapers,  TV and radio stations with advance press releases of the event(maybe sometime in Early spring as a "teaser"), and then again with a calendar listing (April or May). Contact any publication or Media that you would routinely send publicity to for your local club shows and events, this would be an efficient way to cover a huge amount of media in New England, Jersey, and PA.

Just a few clarifications and thoughts, please direct all feedback to Brian :-) just kidding dude.

See you all soon!

Jim Forgey
