CORSA 2012: More report

Gang:

To add to Brian's comments...great convention IMHO so far. These things are hard to organize and make functional after the planning.

I'll be judging cars today. I think the plan is excellent. Don Wagner and others with CORSA's help set up a "percentage" scoring basis that should be far easier to implement. Harry, I'm told, has set up a scoring computer that is almost real-time. A "runner" will bring the composite score sheets to the tabulator so the scoring is done as the Concours proceeds rather than later. The forms will be initialled and the judge(s) will be right there so if a question occurs it can be resolved quickly. If this procedure turns out as good in practise as it is on paper, I hope these folks get an "attaboy" or two.

The Concours here is on the roof top garage of a local center. It obviously is the best place given the hotel. Its location doesn't draw in potential future members, however.

One of the goals of 2012 is to recruit. I think our location in Sturbridge will be excellent in that regard. I suggest we prepare membership packets to be handed out in a nice neat format. Maybe include a Communique, a photo sheet of people more than vehicles, a history summary of Corsa, and a contact sheet of the Corsa chapters (Sturbridge draws folks worldwide).

We have had a great response at the booth. Cudos so far to the organizers!
