Bay State books our Clark's Fall Classic as a weekend event. Most show up at our show's host hotel, The Red Roof Inn just off I-91 in So. Deerfield next to the Yankee Candle Factory on Friday. We host a Welcome Party for those in attendance in the open room just outside the pool area on Friday evening sending out for pizzas. It's a BYOB event. There is a hose out for car washing if necessary behind the hotel. After the show we have time after cleaning up at Clark's to go back to the hotel to rest, shower and meet for dinner. You're free to go wherever you want but traditionally many prefer to walk/drive next door to Chandler's. It's a little upscale, very nice restaurant attached to The Yankee Candle Co. As you might guess, it's almost totally lit by candlelight; quite nice and real good food. Last show many gathered back by the pool after dinner for a nightcap. On Sunday morning there are a few nice breakfast spots just a short 5-10 minutes from the Red Roof Inn and you are just off I-91 interstate for the ride home. It is a great event and we'd be glad to keep NECC in the loop as plans for Clark's Fall Classic '13 progress. Ray B.

Folks, 
I'm looking at having a formal NECCEXEC meeting in early December. Although I much appreciate you allowing me to continue as president through this year while we did the convention, it's time to get back to formalities. I'll look at the calender and propose a date. In the meantime; please let me know your thoughts on activities for next year. Possible options include but are not limited to another Corvair Olympics--maybe in the southeast--, local track events, and non-performance activities. I would like to propose we all support Bay State's Show at Clark's next fall. It could be a fun reunion for those of us who suffered through the hard work necessary to put on the convention. Maybe Ray B. could set up an informal event either Friday evening before the show or Saturday evening. Something to think about.
