Everyone knows that Bayshore took the "any car" type approach to it's
annual event at Pocono over the 15 years or so of running the event.
Of course this was a track only event and at the height we had @80 cars.
I did not see any posts regarding the poor economy. THIS is what eventually
brought the end to the Bayshore at Pocono events and it what is killing all
events regardless of the format.

Towards the end of the Pocono events there were mostly "deep pockets"
attendees and the grassroots low budget people were not showing anymore.

I would think that anyone in the middle class that once had a Corvair may
not be able to maintain, store, or much less "race" their cars anymore.

The economy has put a damper on any event whether it's automotive,
entertainment, etc.

Fix the economy and "they will come". Otherwise we're just beating a dead
horse.
