I am in complete agreement with Bob on this one. I might have indicated I agreed with Ken's suggestion but after re-consideration ---this ist the way to go.

Ken, with all due respect I object to your recommendations concerning
the scheduling of concours classification on Thursday.
At the very least, listing the concours classification process as
beginning prior to the conclusion of the road rally will cause some
people to skip the road rally because they fear being "late" to
classification.
At the worst, it is yet another example of how CORSA permits the
Concours to ride roughshod over everything else.
So, how would I list the Thursday classification on the schedule?
"Concours Classification: Conclusion of Road Rally through 5:30 PM"
In my view you can start as early as you want, but what you can't do is
PROMOTE an early start.
You'll note that I also dropped the reference to "placement." The
"placement" information is too much to put on the schedule; let's simply
include that information in our promotional efforts, registration
packets, and the like. We should be able to disseminate the "placement"
option adequately. If it is on the schedule some people might
mistakenly believe that parking their car on Thursday is mandatory.
On a related matter, I believe that offering a Friday morning
classification option is vital, to serve the needs of participants who
may be "day-trippers" from the region (they draw 100+ cars to the
Clark's one-day show!) and participants who may have had a late road
rally experience. So the concours might run into the afternoon; it
really is not likely to be unbearably hot on a July day in Massachusetts
under trees on a lawn alongside a lake.

If Larry Claypool hasn't returned from the Rally and we need to Classify a vehicle that arrived early, we'll place a marker sheet on that vehicle for Larry to classify. No big deal. The shuffling of vehicles will be on Thursday...we'll have time.

If we offered Classification Friday AM I'm afraid too many folks will wait thus delaying the Concours start. The early Classification is only for the stragglers or hardship cases and we'll verbally offer that at the Participants meeting.
