I have been very concerned that the Clam Bake we had scheduled would be much to pricey and the event would be a flop.  At our Saturday meeting, folks mentioned that the price was very high. So, I asked the hotel to give me cheaper suggestions.  Kris at the hotel came up the Backyard Picnic shown below.  I believe that a good old American style picnic will be more inclusive.  The price of the Clam Bake and shellfish allergies all have lead me to decide that we'll do the picnic instead.  To keep costs down for our participants; we'll simply keep the price at $27. We''l make profit on other events.  Remember, we are having two major food events; the Picnic and the Banquet.  These two along with the  Ice Cream Social and Concert will make this a memorable convention.

Thanks for letting us use the Southbridge Room on Saturday.  Hope we didn't make a mess.
At the meeting, I got a lot of feed back that indicates the Clam Bake might die of it's own weight.  The price is turning out to be a very hard sell to our members.  Is there a minimum number we need to have it happen?  Got any ideas of a replacement event maybe even one with a <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />New England theme?
