He was very complimentary to all ofour group that he ahs contact with.  I invited him to come to the convention on saturday.

I don't think his departure will have any meaningful effect, either, but 
it keeps intact a streak of managerial changes at virtually every 
convention hotel through the years.

The good news is, he called you.  Often, they just vanish.

In the so-called "hospitality" industry, managers change positions 
faster than a sailor on shore leave.
