Hi, All - we haven't been at the meetings because Keith has still been in and out of the hospital in DC over the past year getting surgeries on his arm and we've been quite busy travelling back and forth. Once things get settled and our baby girl is born (any day now), hopefully things will slow down enough to be able to come back to the meetings.
We bought a house and are getting ready to move in the next couple of weeks to the University area and we will be cleaning our garage this weekend. I know that I have 3 large plastic bins of various Corvair parts that I inherited when I bought our Corvair 5 years ago. I know that most of the parts are for Corvairs other than the '63 - and we don't want to move them with us. There are numerous parts - I always intended to categorize them but never found the time or the energy to figure out what years and what parts were all there. We are having a garage sale next weekend - and I'm putting the parts "up for grabs" for anyone that wants them. I'll know better this weekend what types of parts are in there - but from memory I know that there are few original radios, a dashboard cluster from a later Corvair model, various fuel lines, dual air cleaners and covers, driver's door window and assembly for a 63 convertible, the chrome under door body panels for a Corvair (not sure which year - too long for a '63), tons of tail lights (most of the lens' are broken but the housings are pretty good on most of them), and I'll need to look what other stuff I have. Like I said, there are 3 large plastic bins full of stuff!
If you are interested and want to come by before the garage sale - you are more than welcome to stop by our house, call me (704/236-7846) or email me (amitchell at pcgus.com). We probably won't start going through the garage until Sunday. I don't think I'll have time to take pictures or inventory anything to post what I have...if I do, then I'll send out another email with the photos and inventory list. These parts aren't going to go with us, so what isn't sold or given away to a good home will go to the dump or something.
-Angelique and Keith Mitchell
