To the Board of Directors of CORSA/N.C., Inc. and the many friends I have made throughout the state I want to apologize for the failed effort on my part for not being successful in taking the politics out of CORSA/N.C. This was my goal as I accepted the position of President in this state wide Chapter of CORSA.
Through the By-Laws of CORSA/N.C. the President has the authority to form committees as needed to resolve issues that may arise. During the last CORSA/N.C. Quarterly Meeting, a 2009 Fall Corvair Affair Committee was established to assist Classic Corvairs of the Triad by relieving them of some of their workload by sharing the event responsibilities with other CORSA/N.C. members from throughout the state. These volunteers should have been welcomed with open arms for their effort in trying to make the 2009 Fall Corvair Affair a huge success, but unfortunately they were not. This showed a lack of respect for the Committe members and for the Office of the President. This has been an ongoing problem for CORSA/N.C. for many years. Unfortunately, certain individuals do not look to the future but try to live in the past. Also these same individuals excessively scrutinize CORSA/N.C. elected Officers and members who volunteer their time and effort trying to make the Chapter better. What a shame it is for a small group of CORSA/N.C. members to try to run the Chapter without consideration of the President and most of the Board of Directors. With these issues being said I request my name, Marvin Crook, be removed from the CORSA/N.C., Inc. checking account. Also, this writing will serve as my letter of resignation from the Office of President of CORSA/N.C.
As current President of Queen City Corvair Club one of six clubs under the CORSA Chapter of CORSA/N.C., I must report that during a special meeting of the General Membership of Queen City Corvair Club a vote was cast by the membership overwhelmingly in favor of having Queen City Corvair Club removed as an active club of CORSA/N.C. Therefore Queen City Corvair Club has dissolved and no longer exists. The members of Queen City Corvair Club will push forward in forming a New CORSA Chapter as we look to a new beginning. To our many friends that Queen City Corvair Club Members have made throughout the years we wish you luck and hope to continue the strong bonds that we have.
