<div>Hi, guys and gals! I met a new Corvair owner today in Williamsburg. He was passing through with busloads of kids. He has a 1963 Corvair and said he had never owned one before but was looking forward to driving it. </div> <div> </div> <div>He told me his blower bearing is making noise, and from his description, I think the blower may be banging on the turkey roaster also.</div> <div> </div> <div>He also said it runs very rough at idle and low speed, but is fine on the highway. He had recently had some work done on it. I suggested he look at the balance tube for leaks before he purchases rebuilt carbs. </div> <div> </div> <div>He lives near Spartanburg, SC, in Jonesville, SC. He said it was about 1 hour from Asheville, NC. He is not currently a member of a Corvair club. </div> <div> </div> <div>Is there anyone near him who could help him figure out what is wrong with the car. And which local club should I have him contact?</div>
<div> </div> <div>Thanks! Hope to see some of you at the Williamsburg Vair Fair!</div><BR><BR>-- Doug Mackintosh<br> Corsa member since 1996<br> Corsa/NC member since 1996, Virtual Vairs member<br> Corvair owner 1969-1971 and 1996-on<p>
