The Friday Night Cruise In scene is alive again at Bert 'n Gert's BBQ on the north side of Charlotte for the second season! There is a DJ, music, door prizes, cars and fun, not to mention the great BBQ and sides served there. Like last year, there are several sponsors and everything but the food is FREE. Last week there was free Budweiser beer products. The Bud rep was sampling new products, free for the asking. This Friday, 6/13, there will be free microbrew. Last week there was a tool set from Northern Tool given away as well as Bert 'n Gert's gift certificate and auto wash mit. But, you had to be there with your car to win. Last year prizes included tools, T-shirts, can coolers, hats, and even a $50 auto-darkening welder's helmet. Yea, all FREE. <br>

Bert 'N Gert's BBQ is located on the north-west corner of W.T. Harris Blvd. and Statesville road. To get there, take I-77 north of Charlotte to exit 18, turn right (eastbound) on W. WT Harris Blvd. Go one block and turn left (northbound) onto Statesville Road. Take the first left turn onto Smith Blvd. and turn into the parking lot. Bert 'N Gert's BBQ is next to Northern Tool. All Corvairs, classics, hotrods, and antiques welcome.<br>
