corvair lately.....the little stone ones....Fram # CG-13 was one brand
name and there were many others; they were less than a dollar each just a few
months ago, now you are lucky to find them and when you do they are $2.50 or
more for one,....at advance auto or auto zone.....right! Clarks Corvair
parts C502 is now $2.90 each and I have seen them for as much as $5 bucks
each on ebay with a $3 shipping charge.....rip off of course but never the less
I guess they were selling them.......... well, Just wanted to let all you
corvair owners know that O'Reilly auto parts stores has the stone type fuel
filters for your Rochester H & HV carbs now on sale....they list for $2.36
and on sale for less than $1.50 each; actually I got mine for $1.37 ea
with my shop discount. There brand and number is "Microgard" #
33050, they come boxed with 4 to a box, now is the time to restock your
supply. I just bought 20 boxes. Yea, I use a lot of them in my
rebuilds. Don't know how long this price will remain in place.
