   If you look in the manuals you would find that the numbers you have posted 
are normal numbers, almost right out of the book.
   There is nothing you need to do to make the engine last longer. HV gears 
will not, in general, make more pressure, just bypass more oil and heat the oil 
more, not to say anything about the extra wear and tear on the distributor 
drive gear.
   You could, but it is not necessary, put new stock gears in and pay 
particular attention to the clearances and stretch the relief spring and you could 
see, 30-40 at start, 50-60 driving, and 20-30 at hot idle.
   Again, the numbers given in the original post are good textbook numbers.
