Sounds like the rings are shot and you are getting a lot of blow by into the
crankcase. When this happens, the pressure must go some were and it takes the
path of least risistance, hence the oil fill tube. Paul in CT

  Hi All,

have a new oil leak on the brier, seems to be blowing back @dipstick tube.
removed vacuum lines, plugged it where the hose connects to carb tube, and
removed the pipe coming up from the top shroud. this significantly decreased
leak around dipstick tube and indicates i probably need a good cleaning of the
top shroud pipe

however, still seem to be getting wet around the top of the dipstick tube, i
think this indicates i still have stoppage somewhere.

the pipe that comes directly out of the shroud is still connected to top
cover, however i soaked this in carb cleaner and cleaned really well @8-10k
ago when i had cover off

is there anything else that could be causing pressure, or do i need to
remove carbs, top cover, etc and check that pipe again

as always advice is REALLY appreciated

  keith
