[FC] FC Rear Axle Bearing

There are only one bearing to a side....... to know if they are bad, you
should first remove the axle and clean and examine the bearing. Many times,
you can get extra life out of them just by doing some preventative
maintenance. I don't quote prices on parts except in private e mails...... I
suggest that you get out the CORSA tech tip guide and read how to do the
cleaning and inspection. If you don't have one, you should. It will give
you the answers and knowledge that you will need to own a Corvair. A picture
is worth a thousand words and that one book is worth its weight in gold when
it comes to helping with Corvair maintenance and repairs. Paul.......

  Hi Paul,
So how many bearings are in the axel of an FC? I have a ' 61 Loadside and I
haven't had the chance to check out the bearings since I bought the vehicle
over 2 years ago! I have only driven the vehicle about 2-3 miles. If the
bearings were going bad, what kind of noise would I hear? How much are you
  asking for your bearings?
