[FC] Progress!

I just used standard 5/16-18 x 1" hex head hardware store screws. GM used
some oddball clutch head screw to prevent you from taking the floor off or
it worked better with the air wrenches they put everything together with.

Clark -

Funny thing, Merv asked me a few months ago about how to get that panel
off without ripping out the heat exchange box. Merv and I are
practically neighbours up here in the wilds of British Columbia, we're
only about 250 miles apart! We are both FC newbies. I told him that the
panel is really a part of the floor. I also told him that I remembered
that some smart person had welded brackets underneath on the rails to
permit easy removal of that panel.... You're the guy!!! Anyhow it's a
great idea and I guess that's what this albout, sharing ideas and info
to enhance our enjoyment of our beloved FC's. I hope I can contribute
something some day.

I do have a question. I'm having a hard time finding a bolt to fit the
nuts to secure that panel. Do you or anyone else know what the size and
thread is of these bolts?

thanks,

Charles
