Depending on what type of driving you are planning on doing will help you to
decide what type of tires that you will ultimately choose.  The wider tires
have better traction on dry pavement, but less on wet pavement.  If it is
going to be a daily driver and you will encounter snow, the wider tires will
tend to ride up on top of the snow and give you less traction.  Picking tire
sizes and configurations requires a knowledge of how the vehicle is going to
be used and what type of performance you expect out of it.  Paul in CT
