[FC] e-mail/camping question

I, too, made a receiver for my Greenbrier and Rampside. I took a standard 1
1/4 receiver hitch from two junked mini vans and then measured the
dimensions BETWEEN the rear lower bumper bolts (the ones inside the "frame
rails.") Then, I got two pieces of heavy metal plate and drilled them to
match the locations of the bumper bolts, installed them with the bumper
bolts, jacked the cut-to-fit receiver hitch up, and had it welded in place.
It is a good idea to place washers behind the side plates to give some
clearance so the hitch can be removed and replaced without it being too
tight to fit comfortably.

And what have I hauled with it? Several utility trailers with varying loads
and bike racks, of course.

Hope this helps. If ya'll would like to see some pics of mine, I will snap
some and see if Lynn will scan them for me. I am sure there are many
variations, all of which will work. Yours looks good and sturdy, Thomas.

Cheers! Ben Stiles
