[FC] carb tips needed

Keith,
I never believed in balancing carbs until about five years ago,( probably
cause I didn't know how). I was given a unisync, so one day I too read the
manuals and books and went at it. It is a straight up operation. The best
advice I can give is practice at it. It took me a little time, but it was a
well learned effort. I absolutely believe that the carbs must be balanced to
obtain a good running engine. Some of the guys in my area still laugh at me,
but when we are working on one of their poor running Vairs I allways,
allways balance the carbs. You would be surprised at the effect it can make
on a poor running engine. I generally check my carbs about once a month and
rebalance if needed. I think I do it just for the practice. Go for it,
you'll be glad you took the time to learn. You will probably never drive a
Vair without balancing the carbs again.
