you could get some angled PVC pipe that has an inside diameter just abou the 
same size as the outside of the carb (some custom cutting may be needed to fit 
the pipe over the hold down area).  I think the size of the pipe should be the 
same as the inside diameter of those triangular ish K&N filters.  Then just 
bolt/push everything on.  I think it was california specialties??? He is the 
younger man who has some lower and tricked out cars.  This would let in a good 
amount of air.
