[FC] Front coils

Charles,

I did this mod a few weeks ago to my Greenbrier. I
used '65 Mustang V8 springs per the tech guide. I cut
one coil off the top and flattened the last half coil
or so.
My van now sits level, front to rear at rest. On the
highway, the ride and handling is much better. Much
more car-like. The springs seem very soft and do
bottom out frequently on dips. I have no-name low
pressure gas shocks, which are soon to be replaced
with the heaviest I can find. As much as I like the
look and smooth road ride, if I cannot get the
bottoming out under control there will be some springs
for sale soon.

Good Luck,
Bill W.
