[FC] trailer hitch for greenbrier

Mr. Keith :-)
My wife and I purchased a Rampside with a trailer hitch setup that
sounds like this. On ours the grill where the damper doors open had to have
a section cut out of it to make it work. The bolts attach the hitch by
drilling holes into the frame ends around where the bumper brackets bolt up.
The best way I could find to put the bolts in was to tie a string to the
11/16 box end wrench and once it was pushed into the hollow frame you hold
the wrench against the nut and turn the bolt until the wrench drops onto the
nut. Then tighten the bolt. After the bolt it tightened push the wrench
off the nut and use the string to pull the wrench out. There are also two
bolts in the center that attach to the body. As for how "good" a hitch it
is, it seems to make a darn fine bruise on your shin for the
unobservant-observant. I have never hooked anything up to it but it seems
to be very sturdy. You might pay attention to the bolts you use such as
grade 8 or so. If you want to send a picture to me to look at send it to
monza17@cox.net and I'll tell you if it is the same or not. My wife doesn't
like the hitch and we may sell it also but haven't decided yet.
We also have a trailer hitch that uses a round stock of steel bar that
passes through the loops on the bumper brackets and then is attached to the
bumper center bolts. This rig is on a parts van that I am taking all the
"64 stuff off of. (Shifter, turn signals, self adjusting brakes etc.
Somebody local has expressed interest in it already. Later folks, Mike
