Look for a area that hasn't been exposed to light, like under the seat or
where two pieces of metal overlap. I remember the color as being a orangish
red........ Paul in CT....

40 years of exposure to light might have something to do with it
Greg...just a guess though and I bet someone else will have a better
  answer!!

Subject: [FC] 1963 Greenbrier Interior Paint Colors

  Hello all,

I have a 1963 Greenbrier deluxe with the "red" and white interior, custom
upholster, door panels, etc. I have some parts I want to do some
repainting
of (seat legs, etc.) and am looking for the paint code and/or formula for
  this
stuff. I have the paint color chart for the vans and trucks but the only
"red" they list for an interior color is Cardinal Red, which shows to be
the
same Cardinal Red as used on exteriors of trucks and the "stripe" on white
two-tone vans and trucks. However, my interior color is a much more
orange-red than what I think Cardinal Red is, and I know my interior is
original. Can anyone shed any light on this? For what it's worth, my van
  is
an "early" 1963 model, built in April 1963 at the Flint plant (engine code
  and
date markings on the back of the upholstery panels) and my paint code chart
  is
  from October 1962.

As an aside, does anyone know when the switchover to "late" FC's took place
  in
  1963? Thanks,

  Greg Hanlin
