It would be best to check with the manufacturer of the oil that you are going
to us to get their opinion on the possible contamination problems.  Some
synthetics are a blend of petroleum based oils and others are not..... Paul in
CT...... erring on the side of caution

  Thanks.  We have drained & cleaned the entire system and replaced all the
  gaskets. The converter may have some in it,  Will this hurt ?  Everything
  has already been put back together, we just haven't added the
  transmission fluid yet.
