[FC] Greenbrier tops

I have investigated this extensively and it is a difficult job to say the
least. The top panel is spot welded to the roof gutter and it is also glued
to the other pieces. The best that I can tell is that the bolts were to hold
together a sub structure in the manufacturing process for alignment purposes
and then everything was welded together in the end process. To remove the
roof panel, you will need to clean out the sealant in the rain gutter, then
drill out all the spot welds and then try to separate the roof panel from the
mastic that is holding it to everything else. If you look in the assembly
manual, you will be able to comprehend this if you study the different
pictures. I need to replace my roof panel because someone previous cut a huge
hole in it to make a pop up camper out of the van. My problem is that I
haven't located a suitable top to use. Why do you want to replace your top,
if you don't mind my asking? Thanks Paul in CT.

Has anyone tried replacing a Greenbrier or van top by unbolting and
replacing with another? Anything special involved?
