[FC] No Spark

Everything in the distributor looks fairly new, I made sure there was no corrosion on the points.  I am checking for spark by pulling the wire that goes from the coil to the distributor (at the dist end) and checking to see if the wire arcs to metal when turning it over.

battery? ground strap? how are you checking for spark? points? condensor?
distributor cap?
