Tim,
Did all of the door emblems say "Heavy Duty" under Econoline? someone cut
slider windows out of the side access doors...
It was rough, and sitting at a glass shop....
Something tells me you've probably parted out nicer vans...
Are you having fun with the 'vair? Is it running well? Any problems?
Questions?
Let us know!
Later!
Lon

Shaq,I mean, Lon:-) Only the ones with the heavy duty package had the
emblems. The pkg got you thicker frame rails and beefier springs so it had a
larger GVW.
I know its a Ky van since it has the hillbilly home boy cut sliders in
it. Theres one like it down near you in Campbellsville that a 67 automatic.
I ve definitely parted out nicer ones but I ve had some pretty sad
ones also. I can usually find something good on even the worst truck.
Im having a blast with the Corvan. Been getting major thumbs up with
it too. Im gonna need new shocks for it and exhaust so any info about that
would be appreciated. It seems to run very well. Theres a very minor tick just
after startup but it goes away in about a second or 2. Im concerned with the
whining noise I get from the transaxle area or axles themselves. Its not real
bad
but its noticeable. I dunno, remember Im a rookie when it comes to Vairs. I ll
be heading to a show this weekend up in Columbus,Ohio and hope to see a guy
they call COOP who has an orange Corvan thats pretty nice. I would like to
drive another one to compare mine to and have somebody who really knows their
stuff drive mine and give me their opinion of it mechanically. I only drive it
local for now. Im taking my rust free California 72 Dodge van up to Columbus
to
try and sell it.
I would like to know the name and email of the guy that owns the van I
saw in Lexington with the prototype folding rear bench seat. I plan on
duplicating it and need a few measurements. I ve got several pictures of it.
