[FC] what'a typewriter?

Actually, the "typewriter" was a Smith-Corona PWP 50D Word Processor. This
was to replace the "Brothers" WP that the Corvanatics Group authorized
Caroline Silvey to purchase in about 1993. When Diane took over the
Sec/treas job in 1995, Tom and Caroline shipped us all the Corvanatics
stuff, and the "Brothers" unit was seriously damaged in shipment. I bought
the S/C unit and learned to type on it. It had 30K of memory. It proved to
be a means to bring me into the 20th century as far as correspondence goes.
I had never learned typing. I am still a one finger pecker, but it gets the
job done. From there, a few years later, I got introduced to Microsoft Works
4.0, and do all the Rosters, UV Directories, Address labels, Vairfest
Registrations with that. I am resisting all the later upgrades to this, as I
am a slow learner, and the upgrades seem to be a whole new world to learn. I
am just now comfortable with Works 4.0, and learn new things about it every
now and then.
I still use the S/C unit when I need a single address label
       Bob
