[FC] Bearing noise??

The last time I had a bearing go out it made a weird popping noise at low
speed.  It did also seem to be worse when it had a side load on it.  The
bearing assy has 2 barrel shaped tapered roller bearings in it and shouldn't
have any play in it.  If it does when it's bolted up you have a bad bearing.
I say bolted up because it's possible to have play in it when the shell
isn't clamped together if the rivets are loose or missing.  With that much
play in it the bearing dust shield on the axle might be rubbing the bearing
housing.  I'm not sure that is possible but it sounds good.  :-)

Rear bearing noise is generally most noticeable in turns.  Go make some
rights and lefts and see if the noise increases or not during the turn.  If
not, may be something else.
