The shifter change came about in mid '63.  It wasn't an either or thing as
far as I can tell.

I, too, am technologically challenged, but would be willing to collect the
information, if someone else could put it into a usable format that was
easily accessed.  That might complicate things having several people in on
it, but so what if it gets things moving.

I'd be in favor of an all FC registry, and being pretty new to FCs, things
that might be of interest in a registry would be perhaps, if any other
year(early 62?) came without rain gutters; which straight-shift vehicles
came with a floor shifter and which came with the funky one under the seat;
the aforementioned color of the bed, ramp, etc.; specially built vehicles or
fleet vehicles, and ones differing slightly or significantly from regular
production models.  And I'm sure plenty more.

Anyway, if I can help get something like this started, someone just say so.
