many machine shops will do glass beading..... if you can't find a place to do
glass beading, then look for a place that does plastic media blasting.  Do not
use sandblasting, because it will remove metal and make the unit off balance.
If you have a scrap one, try oven cleaner on it... if it doesn't damage the
junk one, then you know it is safe for the good one.... I use oven cleaner to
clean rusty cast iron pans and they come out looking like new.  Don't know why
you couldn't do the same on a lot of Corvair parts such as manifolds, brake
