[FC] oil filter

As far as the word "readily available" it depends.......
My NAPA dealer keeps a couple of 1038's on the shelf.
Most NAPA dealers can get one in a day or so from the warehouse.
This is a WIX filter.
You stated Kragens books only go back to 1967. The corvair oil filter was
the same application from 60-69.
I order mine by the case so I always have extras on the shelf, but I also
have 5 corvairs licensed.
As far as I know the Fram and the Purolator are still available, but to me
the NAPA (WIX) is a better filter.
