You can tell the 145 from the 164 block by seeing if there are "ribs" on the
bell housing end.  If there is then you have a 164.  The "ribs" I think are
on the left (passenger) side.  Patio Matt can confirm this.

Oops, well now I dont know. I should of said that I
replaced the 63 engine with a spare. All I know is
that it has 110 heads now. Not sure if the the engine
is a 145 or a 164. It came with the non harmonic
balancer pully, so maybe its a 145 with 110 heads.
