That is because they are exactly the same as the Corvair passenger car.  The only difference is the letter code stamping indicating that it was originally installed in a FC.  Paul in CT

  '64 carriers are rare due to spring mount underneath.  Don't throw it away
  if you swap diff's.

   Thought you might be able to help me. I need a rear end for my 64 (straight
  shift) as the throw-out bearing collar (or what ever you call it) is
  cracked, thus leaking, and I'm thinking it mihgt be easier to change the
  rear (have the motor and everthing out) than to fix mine. Thoughts and
  directions would be most appreciated.  Danny
