[FC] idle/engine

Ben, how do you know that it's blow-by coming through the heater ducts? Did
you see where it's coming from? Blow-by generally has nothing to do with it
but your engine may have a specific problem that's not common. Loose
exhaust packings are the commonist problem. Are the chokes working OK? If
not, they would be holding the fast idle on. Did you check them? Read the
shop manual in the sections on carburetor adjustments and then LOOK at the
carbs while the engine is running warm and see if you can discern any
problems. Make sure that the chokes are fully open. Write back and let us
know what you find.
