Steve;
Forget Phoenix Charlie.
I have three times written to Charlie asking for a price/ availability on
parts for my Rampy and the Monza. All three times I have gotten a cryptic
message scrawled on the back of some scrap of junk mail he got in his
weekly coupon envelope inside the s.a.s.e. I sent him. Most recently I
wanted to buy some of the chrome insignia for the front door of the Rampy
(which he regularly shows pictures of in his "Ads") and I got a scrawled
message suggesting I drive out to Phoenix with a large trailer and
$3,500.00 (cash) and he would let me fill it up and drive it back to
Cincinnati where I could set up my own parts business. I was not asking
to get his parts cheap, or any special treatment, just needed, like you
some of the Corvair - specific items.
Clearly this guy is deranged and is wasting everyones time with his goofy
ads in the Communique begging us to buy his parts when apparently all he
wants to do is indulge some sort of eccentric personality aggrandizement.

This site and the virtual vairs are your best bet. I was able to get a
vendor to to a gas tank sender rebuild here and free advice on how to
best re- seal my Rampy gas tank here.
