i used a synthetic grease by bg products on mine about 8 years ago. i soaked the axle in carb cleaner then rinsed in thinner. looked squeaky clean to me. then packed it carefully . i rotated it a couple times then added more. i think i have done about 4 vehicles like this so far with no problems. regards, tim colson
