[FC] engine lid material

Dynamat or brown bread.  A insulation material sold on E-bay.  Works great.

What have you folks used to replace the reflective insulation material on
the botom of the ngine lid in vans? Is it really that necessary to have it
there? I know it cuts down on heat in the vehicle and maybe noise, but does
it do that much?

I need to either replace mine or just remove the old as it is dead or
quickly dying.
