Gee
Has anyone ever used an inductive pick up amp gauge they are cheap
- how many amps is the starter drawing ?
or
Turn on your headlights - have some try to start, observe a brownout or a
black out ?

What true gauge are the battery cables ? lots of PVC jacketing ... little
copper
Are you still using those "temporary battery terminals" ?

Battery tested ? try a battery and battery charger combination.

Solenoid - How may turns (of copper)80 ? 135 ? Made where ? "rebuilt" ?

Based on everything said on this thread - SPEND $ 10. Sears
to test the starter, alternator, and battery receive a computer printout

Replaced the solenoid and the ghost is still there.

I need a bigger hammer.

Cleaned the ignition switch and still the ghost is there.

Must be something in the wiring but will likely first replace the
starter drive and then go on from there. At least I'll have a freshly
rebuilt starter.

will post results when progress is made.
