I bought a late 63 GB deluxe Sunday. I was previously owned by a
GM/Chevrolet collector who is downsizing. He made me a great deal. New
paint in and out. New chrome bumpers. It has car 110 with dual exhaust.
One back seat which was recovered and has never been installed. Front seat
in good condition, other back seat out of a parts GB and need recovering.
I got it up to 75 on the freeway Sunday and it still had more. This was in
a cross wind of 30 mph+. The van has 15 year old bias ply tires which will
be replaced soon. which I hope will make it track better. I plan on
inspecting/repacking the rear wheel bearings, plus a couple of bearings on
axels I have in the barn. Checking the rubber/alignment and
inspecting/fixing the brakes. Installing a Pertronics ignition and a 63
Amp alternator. Then we are headed on a 5 1/2 week cross country trip with
the last full week at the convention. The alternator is to drive all the
kids electronics including the TV as well as our electric refrigerator and
keep the battery up on the pop up trailer we are pulling.

Our Goal is to See the USA in Our Chevrolet,

dp
